With south-facing, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass windows, magnificent open views immediately draw your attention. And in a city of buildings built before the era of paneled glass, rooms like this are hard to come by. With a view of rooftops and towers, the back of a Renaissance-era church, and several well-tended gardens in the courtyard below, the only problem is that you might want to stay here all day.
The sunroom is a perfect place for informal meals, with a table and four matching chairs. At the other end of the room, two wicker chairs invite you to lean back a bit more and enjoy the view.
Open the doors and you'll hear stray melodies trickling in with the breeze from the Istituto Boccherini, a music school across the courtyard. Otherwise, listen to local radio or your own CDs (or ours) on the stereo.
